As
a PTA, we have made a strong commitment to promoting a safe, wholesome, yet
entertaining environment in which our graduates can celebrate for the last time
as a class.
To
make this a successful event, the WOHS PTA needs to reach out to the entire
West Orange school community for volunteers. We need help in the
following areas:
1.
There’s no better way to understand what Project Graduation is all about than
to chaperone. Adult chaperones are imperative for Project Graduation and
we need about 25. The hours are long (from 10:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24th
to 5:00 a.m. Friday, June 25th) but the food and company are great
so the time flies! We need adults who are unrelated to any
graduates, and are always in need of more fathers. The parents of non-senior
students are really needed to step up here. Please volunteer; it really is
fun!!
2.
The cost per student attending Project Graduation is about $90. Each graduate
who plans to attend buys a ticket for $20 and the remainder of the cost must be
raised by the PTA through sponsored events and donations. Attendance has been
close to 400 students. Please help us with your tax deductible donation!
With
your support, PROJECT GRADUATION 2010 will be a truly memorable celebration for
our graduates.
